Is Cuddling Before Marriage a Sin?

Cuddling before marriage is not a sin but why should you put yourself in such a risky situation. Cuddling is only the beginning of intimacy. Do it enough times and it will lead to sexual sin.

In the Bible we are told of the story of Joseph who, when tempted by Potiphar’s wife, ran away leaving his coat behind. Joseph could not stand committing such a sinful act against God.

We are to have the same attitude as Joseph when it comes to Christian relationships. Anything that can lead us to sin must be avoided at all costs.

If you knew the consequences of sexual sin, you wouldn’t take risks like cuddling before marriage. If you are burning with passion, go ahead and get married then you can cuddle as much as you want.

However, there are always exceptions to every rule. Some believers can comfortably cuddle before marriage with no incidence.

I won’t advise anyone to take such kind of a risk, but if I find believers cuddling yet they are not married, I will take no offense.

The most important thing is that you guard your faith in Jesus. Avoid tempting situations as much as you can. If you expose yourself to cuddling before marriage, be ready for the consequences that may arise.

The devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeking to devour. If you give him a foothold, he will surely devour you.

The recommendation is that you don’t cuddle before marriage. But it is not a law. However, if you neglect the recommendation and end up in sin, you will pay for your actions.

Be wise and seek intimacy with God until the day you get married and are allowed to cuddle and engage in other intimate acts.
