NoFap is Pointless [Don’t Waste your Time and Energy]

Just because nofap has some positive benefits doesn’t mean it is beneficial. A great part of nofap is a pointless pursuit.

I’m not saying this just because I hate the nofap philosophy. I have practiced nofap myself and I have proof that it is a complete waste of time.

Before you throw stones at me, give me time to explain my point. If you don’t agree with what I say in this article, no problem.

Before I get into details of why nofap is pointless, let me introduce myself and why I should be talking to you about nofap.

If this is your first time on this blog, I want you to know that I was addicted to watching porn and fapping for over 10 years.

I first learned about porn when I was merely 11 years old. For a full decade, I indulged in weird acts as a result of being a porn and masturbation addict.

The acts were so shameful that I couldn’t write them on a public blog. That is why I packaged them in this eBook about my journey to freedom from porn addiction.

When you read that eBook, you’ll notice that I am not just making noise about nofap but I actually have a point. I tried nofap several times during my addiction days. The results were dismal.

Some may accuse me of not putting in the effort but I can confidently tell you that few people can go to the extent that I went in an attempt to get free from porn addiction.

I’m sure you might have also had a hard time getting rid of porn and masturbation using nofap. That is probably the reason why you came to read this article.

If so, don’t feel guilty. I ‘failed’ too with nofap.

I want to give you details of why nofap is a waste of time and what you should do instead. Whatever I’ll tell you here is exactly what I did. It is always unfair to tell people to do things that you didn’t do yourself.

Why NoFap is Pointless

Nofap is pointless because you can’t do it forever. Sooner or later, you will get tired and relapse. The goal of nofap, which is to quit fapping and watching porn, never gets solved no matter how diligent you are in practicing nofap.

I normally tell a few of my friends who come to me for help to quit porn addiction that nofap is too hard to do for the rest of their lives.

Unless nofap becomes as easy as breathing in and out, it will never be a solution to quitting porn and masturbation.

Breathing in and out is one of the easiest tasks in life but still times come when it gets hard. Compare it to nofap, which requires a hundred times more energy to sustain, how long do you think you can keep up?

Right now you may have time to work out, take cold showers and do all the practices recommended in nofap but will you have time to do the same activities when you have a full time job, a wife, kids and a family reunion to attend?

Will you have the energy to keep up with the nofap philosophy when you start aging? I’m not anywhere close to aging but I can clearly tell that nofap rides on the strength and time that young people have.

A few more years to come, the story will be different.

Starting out nofap when you are sure it won’t last for long; isn’t that pointless?

What you want is to quit porn and fapping (and forget about it) not spending the rest of your life counting days and hoping you don’t relapse.

Nofap takes too much energy

Nofap is not for the faint-hearted. But even if you are not faint-hearted, nofap is a waste of energy. However, that does not mean that nofap has no positive results.

You will definitely get some positive results. But then considering the energy you put in and what you get, you’ll realize nofap is a waste of your time.

I don’t think quitting an addiction to porn needs to become such a big deal in anyone’s life. There is so much that we can do in life apart from focusing on quitting porn addiction.

If you are addicted to watching porn, there are better ways to deal with the addiction and still have your life. But turning your life into a campaign to become a ‘superpower’ is sheer stupidity.

I was an addict to porn and I overcame the addiction without nofap. Right now, I barely think about porn. I only remember porn when I’m writing articles on this blog.

The rest of the time I am usually busy with my life.

Why waste so much energy on solving only one problem in your life? There are many more that need your attention.

Nofap doesn’t cure porn addiction

Nofap only masks your addiction to watching porn and masturbation. It is like emptying a fridge in the house of an alcohol addict of all alcohol and expecting him to recover from his addiction.

He may go several days without drinking but that does not mean he has stopped alcoholism. A day will come when his alcoholism will force him to go outside to a pub.

Nofap is not a permanent solution to your addiction to watching porn and masturbation. And if nofap cannot permanently solve the primary problem for which it was formed, how is it important?

That is how useless nofap is. Basically, nofap gives you a few benefits but they are not the reason why anyone gets into nofap in the first place.

You may build your muscle and start a business because you are practicing nofap but then those same results can be achieved without nofap.

That begs the question, is nofap any important?

If you want a productive life, work out and focus on building productivity. If you want to end your addiction to pornography and masturbation, find the right method to do exactly that.

What should you do then?

Knowing that nofap is pointless is not enough. At the end of the day, what you want is to quit porn and masturbation and focus on other things in life.

Continuing to beat a dead horse won’t solve your problem. I’ve done enough of beating the dead horse. It is time to talk about the permanent solution.

As I had promised earlier on in this article, I will only ask you to do what I did myself. I managed to quit my addiction to porn and masturbation using a simple method.

It took me time before I got the results I desired. The journey was tough but it was worth it.

After successfully coming out of my addiction to porn and fapping, I learned a few more things which I realized would have made my journey a lot easier had I implemented them.

I will not discuss the method I used to quit porn addiction in this article because I have already written extensively about it in another article. Find it here.

With that said, go start your journey towards overcoming fapping and pornography addiction. Let the nofap evangelists do whatever they swore to do.

We hope that someday they will see the reality of the matter and save their life of unnecessary stress.

Good luck!
