Finding a godly man to marry can be a challenge if you don’t know what to do. In most cases, the hard part is putting yourself out there. While it may be scary, it is the first step towards finding a godly man.

Finding a Godly Man to Marry
God ordained that a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined with his wife and the two shall become one. It is the duty of the man to leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife.
As a lady, you should never pursue a man for marriage. If you do and you get married, you will be forced to be the man in the home.
A man who accepts a lady to pursue him is not man enough and can never make you feel like a queen. If you want to be treated as a baby girl by your husband, then let it begin with the man pursuing you.
Do not let your desire to get married lead you into the foolish trap of pursuing him.
How to Find a Godly Man
1. Ask God to help you
God is always ready to help us in our weaknesses. Getting a husband is not easy. Unless God helps you find a godly man, you will never enjoy marriage.
Many ladies have used their own strength to find husbands only for them to regret the kind of husbands they got.
God knows your heart more than yourself. He knows which man will be your best fit. With our human discernment, we can only get to know the surface of what other people are but only God understands the heart.
A man may appear loving and God fearing in the beginning but you cannot tell what will happen after you stay with him for nine years. Have you not witnessed couples divorce after staying together for a good number of years and even having children?
It happens.
God has a special man for you. For every lady, there is a man meant just for you. To find that man, you must ask God to reveal him to you.
I know a number of ladies whom God revealed their husbands to them. The ladies are happily married. I attended several of their weddings.
If you pray to God to bring a godly husband your way, He will bring him. Just don’t pray for a specific man to be your husband. Allow God to choose a man for you.
2. Work on Being a Godly Wife
A Godly man can only marry a godly woman. If you want to find a godly man to marry you, work on being a godly wife.

The more you align yourself to become a wife, the more your God-ordained husband will notice you. In your ordained husband, God put a print of you.
The man will notice you immediately you get into the version of a wife God taught him. You won’t have to say a word for the man to approach you.
Your time as a single lady should be spent on learning. Learn to submit. Learn to love. Learn to be a wife.
God prepares ladies to be wives in these three areas. I have never seen a lady who aligned herself to be prepared to be a wife and failed to get a husband.
In fact, most of the ladies who passed the training were surprised that their husbands came earlier than they expected.
You will be surprised just how close your husband was to you and you never noticed him. Just as Jesus was among men yet they never realized it, so many ladies fail to notice their God ordained husbands.
3. Don’t give up
The journey of finding a godly man is not easy. Even the ladies I have told you that God spoke to them about who their husbands were had a difficult time accepting God’s will.
Most of them imagined that their husbands would be prince charming from a foreign country. When God revealed to them that their husbands were normal men they see every day, their hearts sunk.
But the interesting thing is that once they allowed themselves to go by what God had ordained, they realized God had directed them to the men of their dreams.
Therefore, at whatever stage of this journey you are on, keep pushing towards the goal. Right now you don’t know where to find a godly man. Next, you will know who the man is but your heart won’t believe that he is the right man for you.
You will be praying to God for confirmation that he is the one. And after you confirm that he is the one, you may still struggle with how he is slow to sweep you off your feet.
He may also take too long to propose.
Whatever the case, make sure you never stop seeking God. The reward is worth it.

To align yourself, you don’t have to scratch your head to know where to begin. Go to God and ask Him to prepare you to be a wife.
He will take you through the training and before you know it, you will be on your way to getting married.
Using your own strength and understanding to find a godly man will lead you into depression. Remember what Proverbs 3:5 says; that we should trust in the Lord with all our hearts and we should not lean on our own understanding.
Do that and you will get a God fearing husband.
